The Sindh Water Sector Improvement Project Phase-l (WSIP-I) is under implementation in Sindh with financial assistance of World Bank at an estimated cost US $ 175 million. The Planning ad Development Department has been assigned the responsibility for overall coordination and management of the project implementation through Project Coordination and Monitoring Unit (PCMU) established in P&D Department at Karachi.
The services of Project Coordinator (PC) are required for overall supervision and management of the Project Coordination & Monitoring Unit (PCMU) for WSIP Project. The Project Coordinator will report to Additional Chief Secretary (Dev) P&D Department, Go Sindh. Monthly salary package negotiable upto Rs. 120,000/- all inclusive. Initial contract period would be for two years, extendable upto completion of the Project. Candidate should be a Graduate from recognized university, Civil Engineering, Master in Irrigation, Hydraulics or Water Resources Engineering would be preferred. At least 10 years experience in Management, Implementation/Execution ad Coordination of large development projects preferably in Irrigation and Drainage Sector and should also have experience of/in:
- Project Planning, Preparation and Appraisal.
- Change management including the tools of social mobilization and Capacity Building in irrigation reforms and devolution process.
- Donors procedures, particularly World Banks’ procedure for procurement and implementation of Projects.
- Supervision and Management of Consultants j
- Good Administration and Coordination tools
- Irrigation Management through Participatory Approach
- Computer literate and knowledge of e-mail and internet.
- Proficiency in English and good communication skills and report writing are essential.
- Age limit is upto 55 years.
